WMHT, the Center for Women and Government and Civil Society and Holding Our Own invite you to a Salon Screening of Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.

The screening will feature a 40 minute overview of the recently broadcast four hour mini-series, focusing on six key issues: healthcare, education, economic empowerment, sex trafficking and forced prostitution, gender-based violence, and maternal mortality. Following the screening, join us for a critical discussion of both the issues raised by the film and various approaches, strategies, and solutions offered by the filmmakers.
