This blog is a community effort and anyone may post, but our goal is to center marginalized voices and topics, so we will  actively seek submissions with that in mind. Also, please note that sexism does not exist in a vacuum and we are specifically looking for submissions that have a working understanding of other types of oppression, like racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism, ageism, xenophobia, etc. and how they intersect. We’re working across multiple identities and experiences, and we’re all bound to fuck up on occasion, but we ask that blog contributors be aware of their own privilege(s) and be ready to be called out on it when they step in it.

We welcome and encourage submissions across various mediums and in the full range of media and writings styles – feel free to submit written work of any style, short videos, photos, images, artwork, etc. (that all belong to you, of course!).

Submissions are reviewed and approved by an editorial board with rotating membership. The editorial board is responsible for making sure submissions reflect the values described above and for soliciting a diverse range of submissions. Because this blog is currently hosted by Holding Our Own, Inc., the editorial board cannot approve submissions that endorse political candidates or that ask folks to contact their legislators about specific legislation (it could jeopardize the organization’s nonprofit 501(c)(3) status).  We will try to post submissions as quickly as possible, but sometimes it may take us a few days to post submissions that aren’t time sensitive.  If you would like to join the editorial board, please click here and let us know when/how long you’re available.

If you would like to make a submission, please login with your wordpress login information here: Submit Your Post.  If you are not already registered with our site, it might take a few hours before you can submit your post. Not comfortable with Word Press? Contact us here. Need your submission copy-edited first?  Feel free to check out our tasks calender to connect with other contributors that have volunteered to do that task each week (This will be loaded shortly. Check back in a couple days.).

We welcome folks to comment on our posts in honest, substantive, challenging, and relevant ways. When you submit a comment, it is not automatically posted – our moderator team will post all approved comments as soon as possible. We welcome disagreement with posts, but we do not welcome (and will not approve) comments that are abusive, address people using slurs, are off-topic/derailing, make personal attacks, or are clearly trolling. While we may disagree with each other at times, we love the community we are reflecting and creating here and we will protect it with a fierceness. Please comment in good faith.
